"A nicely balanced, fruity red with ripe currant and berry character on the nose and palate. Hints of herbs to the fruit. Medium-bodied with fine, gently firm tannins and finish. Drink now."

"The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is done in a style that exalts freshness and aromatics more than power. As such, it will especially appeal to readers looking for something other than the classic opulent Bolgheri red. Crushed flowers, mint, spice, tobacco, incense and dried flowers all take shape in this effortless, mid-weight offering...."

"Boasts black currant and blueberry fruit complemented by earth, iron and tobacco, while dense tannins provide support. Compact on the finish for now, yet concentrated and long overall. Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2028."

Wine Enthusiast, Dec/2023

"A dark, almost regal nose of black cherries, blackberries, steel and slate gets welcome levity from an undertone of violet. The dark fruit and metallic glint reappear on the palate, while chalky, chewy tannins accentuate a slow-developing dark chocolate note, and bright acid provides tartness through the finish."

Ben Sigurdsen, Winnipeg Free Press, Feb/2024

2020 -

"From central Tuscany comes this Italian Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in volcanic soils - it offers ripe plum and cassis aromas, with an earthy component and secondary herbal, eucalyptus and chalky notes. On the dry, medium-plus bodied palate it brings ripe blackberry, plum and dark cherry notes balanced by that eucalytus component, hints of white pepper, dusty but firm tannins and a long, warm finish (it's 13 percent alcohol). Brings Old World charm to distinguish it from the more fruit-forward New World Cabernets. Drink now."

"Dark and concentrated, with the vibrant structure imparting fluidity. Dill, blackberry, black currant and toasted spice flavors linger, with the dusty tannins sealing the deal. Best from 2020 through 2025. 3,000 cases imported."
