Colour

Intense ruby red.

Aroma

The nose reveals velvety and clean scents of very ripe black cherry, dark prune followed by some fresh and slightly spicy tones.

Flavour

On the palate it is elegant and soft at the same time, enveloping and of great backbone thanks to the excellent balance between acidity and tannins. The whole tasting is embellished by a very pleasant tannic texture, which fades towards a finish of excellent persistence, with light hints of red fruit.

Food Pairing

Its elegance and spicy structure make it perfect with braised duck, confit and roasted red meat. Sensational paired with mature cheeses and dark chocolate.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Oct/2023

2017 -

"This is a special anniversary bottle (1902-2022) packaged with a white wax capsule and a raised label made in white plastic. I tasted bottle 6,348 of just 10,000 produced. I'm not sure if the actual wine is much different than the regular Amarone bottling from this vintage. The Tommasi 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 120 Anniversary offers a dark set of aromas with dried cherry, blackcurrant, tar, smoke and sweet spice. There is depth and power here (with 15%) alcohol."
