2016 -
"The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon was matured for 15 months in second-fill French oak. It has a fairly standard blackberry and licorice bouquet that is missing just a touch of precision. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin and chewy in the mouth, while the dense, rather grouchy finish needs more tension and precision. It feels - dare I say - just a bit old fashioned."
2014 -
"A delightful South African Cabernet that has a fresh and aromatic quality. The nose is open and full of blackcurrants and dark berries, with a stony, mineral vein running through it. The tannins are well managed and supported by a decent acid core."
