With grapes produced in over 20 hectares of vineyards and managed personally, Matteo Correggia produces a wide range of wines. Starting at the foundations - the four grape varieties that are symbolic of his region, Matteo reached the absolute top in producing the Nebbiolo d'Alba and Barbera d'Alba wines, before bringing to life the Roero and Roero Arneis wines. Alongside these wines - that represent not only a genuine part of the local tradition but also a new expression of the essence of this region are the challenges of the concern looking for new opportunities.

Matteo Correggia's one hundred percent Nebbiolo Roero DOC comes from a vineyard in Canale d'Alba. The south/south-west facing vineyard sits at a 300 meter elevation, and soil composition is roughly sixty percent sand, thirty percent silt and four percent clay. After harvest in mid October, there is a five to seven day maceration period with frequent punch downs and delestage. The Roero is aged for 12 months in neutral barrique and then eight months in steel vats. About 2000 cases are produced each year.
2015 -
"This has a very smart array of bright cherries and some chalky notes, leading to a palate with superior structural depth. It carries a fresh and vibrant core of red cherries and raspberries to close. Drink or hold."
2013 -
"A silky and delicious red with plum, dried strawberry and cedar aromas and flavors. Medium body, fine tannins and a flavorful finish. Delicious Roero red. Fresh style nebbiolo. Screw cap. Drink now."
2012 -
"Luminous and linear, this medium-bodied red offers scents of blue flower, rose, perfumed berry and a whiff of chopped mint. The vibrant palate delivers red cherry, strawberry and licorice alongside fine-grained tannins. Enjoy through 2017."
2010 -
"Sweet raspberries, flowers and spices, in other words, the hallmarks of Nebbiolo from Roero emerge from the 2010 Roero. All the elements are nicely balanced through to the inviting, medium-bodied finish. This delineated, vibrant, harmonious red is a great introduction to the wines of the Roero and just as compelling a value. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020."
